What I've listed are essential oil topical use only information as well as only a few (most popular) situations for use...the book offers much more ways to use the oils as well as other Young Living supplements that could be used - in fact, the book states essential oil use for over 500 physical, mental and emotional health challenges. **Some oils may cause irritation to the skin. If need be, dilute using Young Living's V6 Oil Complex.
Acne
Single Oils:
Tea Tree, Geranium, Lavender, Patchouli, Roman Chamomile, Rosewood, Cedarwood, Eucalyptus Radiata, Orange, Clove
Oil Blends:
Melrose, Thieves, Gentle Babay, Purification, JuvaFlex, JuvaCleanse
Topical Use: Massage 3-5 drops into oily areas 1 to 3 times daily. Alternate oils daily for maximum effect.
ADD/ADHD
Single Oils:
Lavender, Peppermint, Sandalwood, Vetiver
Oil Blends:
Brain Power, Joy, Peace & Calming, Clarity, Longevity
Topical Use: Rub a few drops onto bottoms of feet, shoulders, temples.
Inhalation: Diffuse for 15 minutes 4-8 times daily; Direct inhalation from the bottle 4-8 times daily.
Baldness
Single Oils:
Fleabane, Rosemary, Peppermint, Black Pepper
Topical: Dilute 20-8-, massage into scalp before bed.
Cellulite
Single Oils:
Rosemary, Grapfruit, Lemon, Tangerine, Cypress, Fennel, Juniper, Spearmint, Lemongrass
Oils Blends:
EndoFlex, Citrus Fresh
Topical: Dilute 50-50, massage 3-6 drops vigorously on cellulite locations at least 3 times daly, especially before exercising.
Chicken Pox
Single Oils:
Lavender, Tea Tree, Sandalwood, Niaouli, Melissa, Clove
Oils Blends:
Australian Blue, Thieves
Topical: Add 20 drops of essential oils (using any of the above) to 1 tablespoon of calamine lotion or V6 Oils Complex and lightly dab on spots (lesions).
Colds
Single Oils:
Peppermint, Thyme, Bay Laurel, Oregano, Rosewood, Eucalyptus Radiata, Tea Tree, Ravensara, Rosemary, Mountain Savory
Oils Blends:
Melorse, Thieves, Australian Blue, Purification, ImmuPower, Sacred Mountain, Exodus II, Raven, R.C., Christmas Spirit
Topical: Dilute 50-50, massage 1-3 drops on each of the following areas: forehead, nose, cheeks, lower throat, chest and upper back, 1-3 times daily. You can also use the Raindrop Technique 1-2 times weekly.
Inhalation: Direct from bottle 3-5 times daily, or as needed. Or in humidifier or vaporizor 1-3 times daily as needed.
Congestive Cough
Single Oils:
Eucalyptus Globulus, Goldenrod, Ledum, Spruce, Ravensara, Cedarwood, Marjoram, Hyssop
Oils Blends:
Thieves, Melrose, Peace & Calming, Raven, R.C., Idaho Balsam Fir
Topical: Compress, warm, 1-2 times daily over chest, over throat and on upper back.
Inhalation: Direct from bottle 3-6 times daily, or as needed. Or in humidifier or vaporizor 1-3 times daily as needed.
Connective Tissue Trama(Ligaments, Tendons)
Single Oils:
Basil, Lemongrass, Marjoram, Helichrysum, Wintergreen, Cypress, Peppermint, Rosemary, Eucalyptus Radiata
Oils Blends:
PanAway, Aroma Life, R.C., Relieve It, Release, Citrus Fresh
Topical: Gently massage 4-6 drops on affected areas 2-4 times daily. For swelling, elevate and apply ice packs.
Depression
Single Oils:
Jasmine Absolute, Lemon, Sage, Frankincense, Peppermint
Oils Blends:
Joy, Valor, Passion, Hope
Topical: Massage onto bottoms of feet, shoulders, neck and temples or wrists.
Inhalation: Direct from bottle 4-6 times daily, or as needed. Diffusion for 20 minutes, 3 times daily.
Earaches/Ear Problems
Single Oils:
Thyme, Lavender, Tea Tree, Rosemary, Roman Chamomile, Ravensara, Peppermint
Oils Blends:
Melrose, Puridication, PanAway, Thieves (diluted), Immupower
Topical: Dilute 50-50 in warm olive or fracionated coconut oil. Apply 2 drops to a cotton swab. Using the swab, apply traces to the skin around the opening of the ear, but not in it. Put 2-3 drops of the diluted essential oil on a piece of cotton and place it carefully over the ear opening. Leave in overnight. Additional relief may be obtained by placing a warm compress over the ear.
Caution: Never put essential oils directly into the ear. Ear pain can be very serious. Always seek medical attention if pain persists.
Flu
Single Oils:
Idaho Tansy, Lemon, Blue Cypress, Mountian Savory, Oregano, Eucalyptus Radiata, Myrtle, Peppermint
Oils Blends:
ImmuPower, Di-Gize, Exodus II, Thieves, ParaFree, Essentialzyme, Polyzyme
Topical: Dilute 50-50, 2-4 drops on chest, stomach or lower back as needed, 2 times daily.
Inhalation: Direct from bottle 2-4 times daily.
Insect Bites
Single Oils:
Lavender, Eucalyptus Globulus, Citronella, Tea Tree, Peppermint, Rosemary
Oils Blends:
Puridication, Melrose, PanAway
Topical: Apply 1-2 drops on bite location 2-4 times daily.
Insomnia
Single Oils:
Lavender, Valerian, Cedarwood, Lemon, German Chamomile, Roman Chamomile, Mandarin, St. John's Wort, Idaho Balsam Fir, Rosemary, Cypress
Oils Blends:
Peace & Calming, Citrus Fresh, Harmony, Dream Catcher, Valor, Present Time, Gentle Baby, 3 Wise Men
Topical: Apply 1-3 drops to shoulders, stomach and on bottoms of feet.
Inhalation: Diffusion, 30-60 minutes at bedtime. Or apply 1-3 drops on a cotton ball and place on or near your pillow.
Menstrual Cramps
Single Oils:

Topical: Warm Compress over uterus area 2-3 times weekly.
Muscle Cramps/Spasms

Topical: Massage 2-4 drops on cramped muscle 3 times daily.
Pain (Bone Related and Chronic Pain)

Relieve It, PanAway
Topical: 2-4 drops on location as needed, or Warm Compress on location as needed.
Restless Leg Syndrome
Single Oils:
Valarian, Basil, Marjoram, Lavender, Cypress, Roman Chamomile, Peppermint
Oils Blends:
Peace & Calming, Aroma Siez
Topical: Massage on legs daily before bed. Also Raindrop Technique weekly.
Inhalation: Direct from bottle 6-8 times daily, or as needed. Diffusion for 20 minutes, 4 times daily.
Stomach Problems
Single Oils:

Oils Blends:
Di-Gize, Thieves
Topical: Massage 6-10 drops over stomach area 2 times daily.
Ingestion: Mixed with Rice Milk 1-3 times daily.
Throat Problems

Thieves, Melorse, Raven
Topical: 1-3 drops (diluted) applied to throat, chest and back of neck 2-4 times daily. And/Or warm compress on chest area 2-3 times daily.
Inhalation: Direct from bottle 3-6 times daily, or as needed. Or in humidifier or vaporizor 2-3 times daily as needed.
